SIMBIOCITY and Kino Pavasaris: A Partnership Bringing the Community Together Through Cinema

Even before the festival screenings began in cinemas, the excitement was already building at SIMBIOCITY. The business park hosted two special festival programme presentations, where festival director Algirdas Ramaška shared his personal recommendations and helped the community navigate the extensive programme. To make quality cinema even more accessible, SIMBIOCITY gifted 100 festival tickets to its most active community members. Shortly afterwards, more than a hundred employees and film enthusiasts from the business park came together for a special community screening of a film by Jafar Panahi, the acclaimed director and recipient of the Cannes Film Festival’s Palme d’Or. The gripping drama, filled with moral dilemmas and subtle humour, left a lasting impression on the audience and provided the perfect opportunity to spend an inspiring and meaningful evening together.

To help balance everyday business responsibilities with a love of cinema, SIMBIOCITY introduced a practical solution for festival visitors. For the two-week duration of the festival, a dedicated coworking space was set up on the third floor of Forum Cinemas Vingis. The space provided a convenient place for guests to catch up on urgent emails between screenings, work in a relaxed setting, or simply enjoy a change of scenery without leaving the cinema. The initiative demonstrated how cinema can naturally become part of everyday life—creating opportunities for new conversations, meaningful connections, and a fresh way to combine work with culture.
